The OSSCork provides Emotional and Practical Support in a safe and confidential environment.

Advice

The OSSCork facilitates the development of a tailored safety plan designed to minimize risk and is delivered in a non-judgemental manner.

Information

The OSSCork provides Financial, Housing, Legal, Health and other information together with the service users rights and entitlements

Advocacy

The OSSCork seeks to represent its client’s interests at both a local and national level together with awareness raising of the issues including the promotion of Zero tolerance of violence.

Accompaniment

The OSSCork accompanies our clients to Court, Garda Stations, State Departments and other Stakeholders.

All of the above services are client lead, tailored to the needs of the client – no one size fits all.

How we Work

The services of the OSSCork are both free of charge and confidential.

Our telephone helpline (1800 497 497) operates between the hours of 9-5pm Monday-Friday.

The OSSCork operates a limited e-mail (osscork@gmail.com) support service between the hours of 9-5pm, Monday-Friday.

The OSSCork offers face-to-face support sessions between the client and a support worker. These sessions are arranged by appointment. During Covid-19 our walk-in facility is suspended.

Clients /Service Users

Clients of the OSSCork include any victim of domestic violence over the age of 18 years.

Supports are also provided to concerned family members and friends as well as professionals who come across the issues of domestic abuse during the course of their work.
